Growing up in Houston, Alexis' first language was Spanish having parents of Mexican and Argentinian decent. Her parents encouraged her into community theater to overcome her shyness, a move which proved to start her on a wonderful path. While in High School at Saint Agnes, an all girl Catholic school, Alexis began her modeling career. It was shortly after high school when Alexis landed her career making role of Rory Gilmore on The Gilmore Girls. Alexis has also appeared in such feature films as Sin City, Tuck Everlasting, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and more. Currently, Alexis is involved with the sequel The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 but apparently not going to be involved with Sin City 2.
